Removing Components Before Installing the Chassis

Removing Power Supplies

Remove both power supplies to reduce the top-end weight of the router by

approximately 28

pounds (12.70 kg) to 40 pounds (18.14 kg).

Removing AC PEMs

Use the following procedure to remove the AC PEMs from the chassis.

Step 1 Remove the PEM from the chassis (Figure 3-4):

a. Loosen the captive screw on the ejector lever.

b. Pivot the lever down to eject the PEM from its bay.

c. Slide the power supply out of its bay while supporting it with your other hand.

Warning

The power supply weighs approximately 20 pounds (9 kg). Use two hands to

remove the power supply.

Step 2 Repeat Step 1 for the other PEM.
